Kevin Wimmer to make £15m West Brom move when Tottenham sign Davinson Sanchez

Davinson Sanchez's arrival will free up Kevin Wimmer to leave Tottenham and join West Brom.

Wimmer is set to join the Baggies in a deal worth around £15m, but the Austria defender will not be allowed to leave until Sanchez’s move is completed.

Spurs expect to complete the signing of Sanchez this weekend and he will become their first signing of the summer.

The Ajax defender has already agreed terms on a five-year deal and the transfer could eventually cost Tottenham a club-record £40m fee.

And his arrival would spell the end of Wimmer's two-year spell in north London. He made just four starts last season and the signing of Sanchez will knock him further down the pecking order.

The 24-year-old had been linkjed with Stoke and Crystal Palace, but Tony Pulis is set to win the race.

Meanwhile, Spurs are still targeting Everton’s Ross Barkley and Celta Vigo midfielder Papa Chiekh Diop.
