KFC reopens Plymouth restaurant after fire with brand new look
A 'new and improved' KFC has opened back up to customers in Plymouth after eight months. The popular chicken restaurant was forced to close in March this year, after a fire.
The blaze was sparked by a fire in a deep fat fryer and customers and staff were evacuated from the building on the evening of March 16.
But now the eatery in Crownhill has reopened with a shiny new look. KFC says: "We cannot wait to show you our new and improved coop. We’ve re-opened our doors, and we’re happy to be back at the fryers, serving our loyal fans in Plymouth our famously finger lickin’ chicken that they know and love.

KFC say they have maintained 50 jobs alongside adding an additional 20 new jobs to the local area. The refreshed restaurant offers dine-in, takeaway, delivery, click and collect and drive thru.
Jon Mcarthy, Restaurant Manager at KFC Crownhill said: “We’ve certainly missed our Crownhill fans, so we’re really excited to see our restaurant re-open its doors to the local community.
"We know we play an important role in the local area so we’re thrilled to be bringing new jobs and business to Plymouth- as well as our delicious fried chicken. Can’t wait for you all to meet the team.”
