Who is Kieran on Married at First Sight UK? Newcastle groom heads down aisle on E4 show

There will be some Geordie interest in the new series of Married at First Sight UK, with Newcastle's Kieran Chapman among the grooms in the latest run.

Originally a hit on Channel 4, Married at First Sight has become even more explosive since it made the switch to E4, with cheating couples, dinner party showdowns and plenty of drama.

And now it's back, as experts Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas match make more couples and then cast a watchful eye over their progress. The new series kicks off on E4 on Monday, September 16, with its loyal fanbase ready to get thoroughly invested in each twist and turn from the wedding days, to the honeymoons and everything else.

Who is Kieran on Married at First Sight?

Kieran is a 28-year-old mechanic from Newcastle, who has also had a drastic switch in career to become a circus performer.

Along with Kristina Goodsell, 30, he is one half of the first couple to tie the knot in the new series, with Kieran causing a real stir by wearing a pair of joke teeth on his wedding day.

Speaking about his past romances, Kieran has admitted he was left heartbroken after an ex cheated on him with his best mate, with him left thinking he'd never be able to trust anyone again.

Kieran's Instagram is @kieranchapmannn and it was on his Insta grid that KIeran confirmed he was in the MAFS cast, joking: "So, I went 'travelling' at the beginning of the year. But, I lied. Now the secret's out... I married a stranger."

And, ahead of the first episode, airing he wrote: "MONDAY 16th SEPTEMBER 9PM … get that in ya list of priorities! I don’t care if you’re working, or if you’ve accidentally sliced your head off… it’s just not good enough."
