Kilburn shooting victim named and pictured for the first time
A man shot dead in a West Kilburn street has been named locally. Local reports state the victim's name is Tikquaan Walters, 28, or 'Lil Bam' as he's known to friends, who passed away shortly before midnight yesterday (Wednesday, September 4).
Residents on Bravington Road heard two gunshots at 11.05pm, before police arrived at the scene, on the Mozart estate, within four minutes. Despite efforts from officers and paramedics, he died at the scene about 45 minutes later.
A murder investigation is now under way as Bravington Road is shut along with parts of Marband Road and Shirland Road while police make enquiries. So far no arrests have been made.

Floral tributes are in place outside his family home in Bruckner Street, where relatives are also commemorating the death of an elderly woman. Residents say she passed away exactly three years ago. Pictures of Tikquaan, who was a personal trainer and previously went to the University of Roehampton, have been added to a memorial put up to commemorate the woman's death with a black love heart balloon tied to the shrine, with the words 'RIP Quaan aka Bam' written on it.
The community expressed their distress and shock to MyLondon, with one Bravington Road resident describing it as "a family-orientated road". The Metropolitan Police is keen to speak to anyone who has information about the fatal shooting.
The investigation is led by Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley in Specialist Crime (Homicide). He said: "The incident took place in a residential street and as a result I am sure there are people who may have captured footage on their doorbell or dash cameras that could be vitally important for us. I need those people to check immediately and share any material they have with us immediately.
"Equally if you saw or heard anything before the incident, or after it, I need you to speak to my team so that we can have the best possible chance of finding whoever responsible for this horrific crime and bringing them to justice."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or message @MetCC quoting CAD 8732/4SEP. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-org.uk.
