Kim Kardashian and Kanye West could be about to name their third child after the rapper's late mother, Donda.

The US power couple welcomed a baby girl on Monday via a surrogate, and now fans are placing bets on what the newborn will be called.

Donda is the current favourite with odds of 6/1, according to Betfair, while Angel and Ava have odds of 8/1 and 10/1 respectively.

Names beginning with 'K' could also be a possibility, with Kylie placed at 10/1, Kris at 25/1 and Kim at 50/1 – although Kardashian previously said that she had rejected the letter over fears her children would be nicknamed “KKK”.

Outsiders include Yeezy, Weezy and South by South which have current odds of 250/1.

Kardashian announced the news that her surrogate had given birth to a baby girl on Tuesday, telling fans they are “so in love”.

Writing on her app, she said: “Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl.

“We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”

The couple - who are already parents to North, four, and Saint, two - decided to use a surrogate to have their third child after Kardashian suffered from placenta accereta with her previous pregnancies.

The reality TV star recently revealed her rules for choosing names, telling US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres that she likes to keep them simple.

“Short, easy to spell, one syllable, that’s kind of my vibe,” she said, before revealing that she had asked friends to write names on tiles at her baby shower to help inspire her," she said.

The baby girl is one of a potential three new additions to the famous family with Khloe Kardashian expecting her first child and Kylie Jenner rumoured to be pregnant with Travis Scott's baby.
