On Thursday afternoon Virgil Abloh showcased his first collection as Louis Vuitton's Menswear Artistic Director at Paris Fashion Week Men's.

Having taken the reins from Kim Jones back in March, the fashion industry has been eagerly awaiting the creative's first menswear show and new direction.

And the Off-White designer did not disappoint, his spring/summer 2019 collection effortlessly mixing his signature streetwear aesthetic with a luxe edge.

His chosen runway was the Palais Royal at the Place Colette Paris and was made up of a spectrum of rainbow hues, hinting to the collection to come, which was called Colour as a Metaphor. The debut stuck to tonal looks ranging from minimalist white to attention-seeking red.

And it wasn't just his collection that had people talking, his front row was packed with A-listers, who were all wearing coordinating tonal looks in different shades, matching the rainbow runway.

Having previously been Kanye West's longtime adviser and friend, the guest list unsurprisingly featured a few famous Kardashian faces.

Kanye sat beside his wife, Kim Kardashian, who was sporting a belted shirt dress in vibrant blue, the colourful ensemble a distinct contrast to her usual earthy Yeezy looks.

New mum Kylie Jenner then added a pop of sunshine yellow to proceedings, donning a bright tracksuit. She was joined by Jordyn Woods and her boyfriend, Travis Scott, who coordinated in a white tracksuit.

Rihanna also opted for a minimal white hue; looking sleek in a crisp jumpsuit, complete with numerous white cross body bags and matching white winged eyeliner.

Bella Hadid turned up to show her support, having previously modelled in many of Abloh's Off-White shows, this time she was off-duty wearing a red co-ord with orange accessories.

Perhaps, both out of pride and relief, Abloh broke down in tears as he took his final bow before sharing an emotional hug with pal Kanye.

What a debut.
