Kim Kardashian recounts harrowing details of Paris attack: 'I mentally prepared myself for rape'

Last night’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians was perhaps the most anticipated ep of all time, with Kim Kardashian using her family’s reality show to detail exactly what happened when she was robbed at gunpoint last October.

The mum-of-two hit the headlines during Paris fashion week when her hotel room was stormed by masked men and they stole millions of dollars worth of jewellery from her, however, the star has now emotionally revealed that she feared the men would rape and murder her when they broke in.

Kim broke down as she recalled the terrifying attack.

Speaking to her sisters in the heartbreaking episode, Kim explained that she was in bed when the men, dressed as police officers, broke into her hotel room.

She shared: “He duct-tapes my face and my mouth to get me to not yell or anything. He grabs my legs and I had no clothes on under.

“He pulled me towards him at the front of the bed and I thought: ‘Okay, this is the moment they’re going to rape me.’

“I fully mentally prepped myself, and then he didn’t and he duct-taped my legs together. Then he had the gun up to me and I just knew that was the moment they’re totally going to shoot me in the head.

“I just prayed that Kourtney [Kardashian, her sister who accompanied her on the trip] is going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed.

“I have a family, I have my kids, my husband, my mum, I’m not going to make it out of here. I know how these things go.”

Kim revealed that the concierge who’d been brought up with the men acted as her interpreter and she asked him to tell the robbers that she has babies at home and to let her live.

The star handed over her £3.2million engagement ring but when the gang asked for money she had to tell them that she didn’t have any cash in the hotel room, continuing: “They dragged me out on to the hallway on top of the stairs.

“I was kind of looking at the gun, looking down back at the stairs. Am I going to run down the stairs and either be shot in the back? It makes me so upset to think about it.

“Either they’re going to shoot me in the back, or if I make it and they don’t, if the elevator does not open in time, or the stairs are locked, then like I’m f*****. There’s no way out.”

Before the episode aired, Kim took to social media to defend her decision to speak out about the attack in such a public way.

Sharing the last family photo taken in Paris before her ordeal, Kim wrote: “Tonight’s episode is going to be very tough for me. However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes and not in an interview where my own words could be twisted.

“I have always shared so much and I’m not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me. I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons and feel so blessed to be safe home with my babies and husband.

“To my friends, family, and loved ones I can’t thank you enough for being there when I needed you the most. To the French police, thank you for your incredible hard work.”

After the scenes aired, she wrote again: “I took a tragic horrific experience and did not let it diminish me, rather grew and evolved and allowed the experience to teach me.

“I can say I’ve become so much better because of it… Thank you for allowing me to share my story tonight.”

Meanwhile, Kourtney admitted that she will “never forget” the “terror” in her sister’s voice as she opened up about the attack, with Kim revealing that she now no longer feels safe unless she has multiple security guards around her.

Speaking in the preview for next week’s episode, the 36-year-old beauty shared: “I can’t sleep unless I have four security guards just outside my house”, she also revealed that she thinks her family’s heavy use of social media is what helped her attackers gain access to her.

She explained: “What I think happened now after thinking about it so much is that there was probably a group of guys that were following us the entire trip.

“I was Snapchatting that I was home and everyone was going to out, so I think they knew Pascal [Duvier] was out with Kourtney and that I was there by myself.

“They had this window of opportunity and just went for it.”

Kim was widely praised for how brave and open she was in last night’s episode, with KUWTK fans taking to social media to thank her for speaking so candidly:

Following the attack, Kim took a three-month hiatus from the spotlight and it is thought that the entire family have since overhauled their security measures to ensure that nothing like this ever happens again.
