Kim Kardashian West has declared that she is done with selfies because she “wants to live in real time” – but she isn’t against pictures.

The reality star was once hailed as the unrivalled selfie queen, even releasing a book full of snaps, but has now decided to change her approach to the camera.

Speaking at the launch of her new pop-up beauty shop, Kardashian said: “I don’t take selfies anymore. I don’t really like them.

“It’s not all about sitting there taking selfies. I used to spend so much of my time taking selfies.”

She continued: “I just would like to live in real time a little bit more. I don't mind pictures, I just am not on my phone like I used to be.”

The interview, as told the showbiz reporter Sam Rubin, was also shown exclusively on This Morning on Friday morning.

Rubin explained that a producer had approached the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star for a selfie together before the 37-year-old explained her change.

But while selfies may be on the back burner, photos are definitely not and Kardashian’s Instagram is littered with snaps of her family.

And, to celebrate National Selfie Day, Kardashian did share a selfie and an article about how to take the perfect photo, before posing in the mirror for a quick video.
