Kimberly Wyatt Credits ‘Inspiring’ Husband Max Rogers With Her Celebrity Masterchef Victory

She might’ve been the one pouring her actual (eh, sort of) blood, sweat and tears into a fish and berry combo in the Celebrity Masterchef kitchen while John Torode and his denim lederhosen peered over her shoulder.

But Kimberly Wyatt has revealed that it’s ‘inspiring’ husband Max Rogers who she credits with her saucepan skills, as he taught her everything she knows.

Discussing all things soufflé and fancy fishy consumé, the 33-year-old has been having a chinwag with Hello! Magazine, admitting she was shocked to beat Sam Nixon and Rylan Clark to win her new mantlepiece ornament.

She revealed: “It feels totally surreal, to be honest. Life often takes you in unexpected directions and now MasterChef has opened up this whole amazing new world of possibilities and I’m excited to see where it takes me.”

Explaining how Max has helped her with her cooking, she continued: “When you’re on the road as much as I was with the Pussycat Dolls, food becomes fuel and it’s hard when you’re grabbing meals on the go to eat healthily and creatively but a man who can cook is a very sexy thing and Max is a great cook.”

We have to agree there. There’s nothing more attractive than someone presenting us with a plate full of beans and toast on a hungover Sunday morning. Especially if it’s those beans with the mini sausages in.

“Over time, I found his passion for it inspiring and infectious. We became a team in the kitchen - I was his sous chef and I learned so much from him. With that, my confidence started to grow,” she continued.

N’awww.

This isn’t the end of her cookery journey though, with the Pussycat Doll admitting she’s hoping to pass her newly-learnt skills onto daughter Willow.

She said: “Baking together is something I really can’t wait for. It’s nice to be able to use my kitchen and not worry about a timer or have John and Gregg looming over me yelling, ‘Two minutes to go’.

"What you see on screen might seem like a short amount of time, but effectively you give up your life when you sign up. Because I needed my 'mummy time’, I’d come home from filming, drop everything to be with Willow until she went to bed, then be practising and practising until the early hours.

“Some days I was lucky to get three hours’ sleep.”

How she managed to get through the show on three hours sleep a day without accidentally flambéing Gregg Wallace’s jacket, we’ll never know.

Congrats again Kimberly! Celebratory meal at yours, yeah?
