King Charles III Greets Well-Wishers Outside Buckingham Palace

Crowds cheered as King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla waved to well-wishers outside Buckingham Palace on Friday, September 9, following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on Thursday.

King Charles arrived at Buckingham Palace for the first time as monarch.

Footage filmed by Twitter user @michaelkeohan shows the king and queen consort waving to well-wishers and viewing the thousands of tributes left by the palace gates, as people cheer and chant, “God save the king.”
