King Charles Has Reportedly Made a Decision Regarding Prince Andrew's Christmas Invite

The verdict comes amid the brothers' feud over Royal Lodge.

Call it a holiday miracle or a good dose of brotherly love—either way, King Charles has reportedly invited Prince Andrew to join the rest of the royal family for Christmas at Sandringham this year. 

According to Express UK, Charles is allegedly extending an olive branch to his younger brother despite their ongoing feud over Royal Lodge in Windsor. "Insiders indicate that The King is adamant about maintaining family unity, particularly during the Christmas season," the outlet reported, revealing that the invite to Andrew is a "peace offering" that the Duke of York is expected to accept.

The publication also noted that Charles is prioritizing family following his cancer diagnosis earlier this year, writing that the King apparently plans to host "a grand Christmas party in order to bolster family unity after a year marred by health concerns." In fact, he's already preparing for the celebration, "touring the estate and main house" and "liaising with staff" about his plans. 

Andrew's invite is a surprising one, as it's recently been reported that Charles has cut off his brother financially by taking away his $1.3 million allowance and private security. "The Duke is no longer a financial burden on The King," author Robert Hardman wrote in his new book Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story. 

The two have been embroiled in a years-long battle over Andrew's living situation, with Charles attempting to evict Andrew from Royal Lodge and relocate him to Frogmore Cottage (the former home of Meghan Markle and Prince William). But Andrew has refused to leave, forcing the King to take more drastic measures by removing furniture and other "treasures" from the residence.
