King Tide Crashes on California Coastline

King tides crashed on shores in California’s Bay Area on Tuesday, January 4, spurring flood warnings for low-lying coastal regions, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

The NWS said the week’s king tides were an “anomaly” exacerbated by swells from a recent storm.
