Yahoo News Kingsman 2 receives a bloody new trailer
Kingsman: The Golden Circle has introduced us to Statesman in a bloody – and brilliant – new trailer.
The action sequel sees Eggsy (Taron Egerton) face a new challenge when Kingsman headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, leading him to team up with the allied spy organisation in the US to save the world.
As well as a well-delivered "f**k yeah" from Channing Tatum's Agent Tequila, the new trailer delivers headshots galore, showcasing that the sequel isn't going to hold back on the OTT violence of the first movie.
Whether there will be anything like the first film's simultaneous head explosions of world leaders remains to be seen though.
The clash of cultures is also highlighted in the new trailer with Eggsy joking about Statesman's choice of weapon. "We've got brains, skills, skipping rope?," he mocks to Pedro Pascal's Agent Whiskey who replies: "It's a lasso."
Agent Whiskey also borrows Harry Hart's (Colin Firth) "manners maketh man" phrase in a tantalising ending to the new trailer.
We're still no clearer to just how Harry has seemingly survived that headshot in the first movie, mind.
Last week, it was confirmed that Julianne Moore's Poppy is the villain of the sequel and that she owns a diner called Poppyland, thus continuing the burger obsession of the series' villains.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is released in UK cinemas on September 20 and US cinemas on September 22.
