The first footage of Kingsman sequel The Golden Circle has been showed off during tonight's (March 30) CinemaCon in Las Vegas, and it's safe to say it went down a treat with the lucky audience that was there to see it.

While the first trailer hasn't premiered online just yet, The Hollywood Reporter was among those who got to see the first glimpse of Matthew Vaughn's sequel and made sure to share the details.

And yes, Colin Firth is definitely coming back - and now there's been actual visual evidence of his return alongside his credit on the new poster, the onset photos and Taron Egerton's own twitter tease of Harry's return in April last year.

Still, never hurts to be sure, eh?

As for what else the trailer featured, THR reports that it opens with Eggsy (Egerton) having the time of his life in a missile-filled spy car, but it's not long before things inevitably go bad as the Kingsman learn they are up against an underworld organisation.

And not only that, but a literally untraceable organisation too, as the members all have their fingerprints removed and their teeth filed down.

If that's not terrifying enough, things then apparently get even more murky with the introduction of southern spy operative in the form of Channing Tatum, who has plenty of gadgets of his own.

Tatum joins the Kingsman cast alongside other new arrivals Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Vinnie Jones, Jeff Bridges and Sir Elton John, while Egerton, Firth and Mark Strong are among those reprising their roles from the first film.

It was recently confirmed that Kingsman: The Golden Circle's release date had been brought forward by a week and will now be released September 29 in both the US and UK.

So here's hoping that trailer is released online sooner rather than later.
