Kirkby Lonsdale crash tragedy as motorbike rider dies in hospital after horror collision
A motorcyclist has died in hospital following a horror crash.
Emergency services raced to Burrow, near Kirkby Lonsdale, following reports of a collision on Monday afternoon (October 21) at around 1.20pm. Lancashire Police said their officers attended the A683 Burrow Road and found that a motorbike and a Land Rover Freelander had collided.
The motorbike rider, a 51-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to hospital. Despite the best efforts of the medical personnel, he sadly died in hospital earlier today (October 22). Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with footage or information to get in contact.

Sgt Joe Ghigi, of Lancashire Police, said: "First and foremost, my thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones at this extremely sad and distressing time. As we investigate what happened, we want to appeal for witnesses or to anyone who was driving in the area and has dashcam footage from around the time of the collision.
"This is a rural area but there will have been vehicles using the road."
