I Kissed a Boy's Ollie and Dan confirm split

I Kissed a Boy stars Ollie King and Dan Harry Glendinning have confirmed that they have split up.

The pair met during the first series of the BBC Three dating show earlier this year, with the duo committing to a relationship in the final episode.

The pair's relationship has now come to an end, however, with Ollie confirming the news via Instagram Stories.

"Folks, it feels weird to be making a 'public' announcement about something so personal but since many of you have been on the journey and supported us since day one, I want to let you know that Dan and I aren't together anymore," he began.

"We are still mates and there's no bad blood, we'll still be hanging out etc. We both want to make forward and will massively appreciate you respecting that this is a vulnerable thing for us to share.

"Thank you for supporting us so much through this crazy last year," he concluded.

The split comes three months after the conclusion of the first series, which ended with a special reunion episode in which the cast provided an update on their lives following the show.

Whilst Ollie made his name on I Kissed a Boy, the star revealed that he previously applied for a place on Love Island, with his intention being to raise awareness for the lack of same-sex relationships on reality television.

"I did actually apply for Love Island a few years back," he said. "I got through a lot of stages, but I did actually say that I was bisexual. It was a white lie.

"My whole prerogative was to be like: 'Where's our representation? Where's our dating show?' I feel like when it comes to the social media checks, they [the producers] sniffed me out."

I Kissed a Boy airs on BBC Three and streams on BBC iPlayer.
