Kit Harington Is Tired Of Hollywood’s Sexism Towards Men.

Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington has said it’s not only women who face sexism in Hollywood. Again.

The star, who plays Jon Snow in the fantasy drama, told The Sunday Times magazine: “There’s definitely a sexism in our industry that happens towards women, and there is towards men as well. At some points during photoshoots when I’m asked to strip down, I felt that.”

He added: “I think there is a double standard. If you said to a girl, “Do you like being called a babe?” and she said, “No, not really,” she’d be absolutely right.”

And he also added: “I like to think of myself as more than a head of hair or a set of looks. It’s demeaning.”

It’s not the first time Kit has tried to raise this issue. He previously told The New York Post: “To always be put on a pedestal as a hunk is slightly demeaning. It really is and it’s in the same way as it is for women.

“When an actor is seen only for her physical beauty it can be quite offensive.”

And like the last time, Kit’s comments haven’t been taken as seriously as he probably intended them to be.

Some on social media have taken umbrage at Kit comparing decades of women being portrayed as sex objects on film to being the poster boy of one of the biggest shows in the world.

Twitter users were quick to mock the star, with one user telling him to be quiet and look pretty.

Another user who claimed to be a fan of Kit even said his comments were ridiculous.

We don’t think he’d appreciate a joke about getting his Kit off then?
