Kit Harington has admitted he really does know nothing when it comes to how Game of Thrones will end – but he finds that "really exciting".

"Everyone's been wondering how it's going to end, and what's going to happen right from the get-go, and theorising about it," Kit told Moviefone.

"It's really exciting to me not knowing, genuinely having no idea where it's going to end, what they've got in their heads, and being the first to find out."

He also said that his character Jon Snow "might go through a big change" next season. "He's dear to me. I've lived with him for so long," Kit added.

"I think I've come into a place of feeling quite emotional about him, actually, knowing that I'm not going to get to go back to him after next year.

"I'm really trying to just take stock of having lived this sort of dual life with this character, and being through so much with this character. It's been a strange journey, but I'll always be fond of it."

And, although he doesn't know what's going to happen yet, he will do soon as he's going to be reading the scripts...

"I just finished season seven, and I am already counting down the days until I get the season eight scripts," he admitted.

Last month, Grey Worm actor Jacob Anderson said that season 7 is going to be "absolute chaos", getting us right in the mood for more Thrones.

"I think, and this is true of season 6, you can feel that things are coming to a close. It's all getting a bit much. The show's kind of like a pressure cooker... It's just absolute chaos."

Game of Thrones season 7 will premiere at the slightly later date of summer 2017 with a shorter run of seven episodes.
