KitKat announces new chocolate bar first in 'have a break' shake-up
KitKat, which started life out as a chocolate bar being made in York, has launched an exciting new product today, pitching it as an ideal treat for sharing. Famous for their slogan "Have a Break", KitKat's latest endeavour is about promoting better-quality downtime with their crispy wafer that has been a staple for many a tea break.
The introduction of these new sharing bars aims to enhance social moments by offering a delectable snack meant for sharing with loved ones during relaxing evenings at home. These treats are hitting stores nationwide from 29th January and are rolling out in three tantalising flavours:
KitKat Double Chocolate: This bar features a scrumptious cocoa-flavoured filling wrapped in rich milk and dark chocolate marbled swirls.
KitKat Salted Caramel: For those who love a sweet and salty combo, this one has a salted caramel-flavoured filling within layers of creamy caramel flavour milk chocolate and marbled swirls.
KitKat Hazelnut: Lastly, a delightful hazelnut-flavoured filling enrobed in a blend of milk and dark chocolate marbled swirls.
Promising a distinct and indulgent eating experience, these innovative bars boast creamy fillings and chocolate that melts effortlessly in the mouth, creating an extraordinary contrast in textures. Their visual appeal is just as impressive, thanks to the eye-catching swirled effect of the marbled coating.

Stephanie Scales, Marketing Manager for KitKat at Nestlé UK & Ireland, emphasised the importance of leisure time in our hectic lives: "In today's non-stop world, it's far too easy to let the evenings disappear in a blur. We want KitKat fans to hit that pause button and really unwind at the end of the day... and what better way to do that than by catching up with your favourite people and sharing a delicious treat? " She explained the ethos behind the new offering: "KitKat's always been about those feel-good breaks and now with sharing bars, we're making it even easier to disconnect and reclaim your evenings."
The sharing bars are designed with break-off pieces, perfect for social snacking with loved ones. At 99g, KitKat Sharing Bars contain no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and are vegetarian-friendly.
These bars contribute to KitKat's 'Breaks for Good' mission which includes sustainability efforts like responsibly sourced cocoa, minimising environmental impact, and uplifting communities. In addition to these sharing bars, KitKat aficionados will be excited about the recent release of the KitKat Hazelnut 4 finger.
It has already stirred considerable consumer enthusiasm earlier this year. Moreover, the brand hints at more surprises to come in 2025, so KitKat lovers should keep their eyes peeled for future innovations!
