Kitty Cools Off With Icy Treat During Canadian Heat Wave

A cat owner in Vancouver helped her four-legged companion beat the oppressive heat on Wednesday, June 30.

Tina Benoit shared video of her cat Khajit enjoying an ice pop on Wednesday, when her apartment reached 31 degrees Celsius (87.8 Fahrenheit), she told Storyful.

“It was so hot in our city, all the pet owners were seeking ways to cool them down to avoid heat strokes, so one of many attempts to cool Khajiit down was freezing a lickable wet cat treat that come in tubes,” she said.

“In slow-mo for extra cuteness,” Benoit wrote on Facebook.
