Knightsbridge crash: Woman left with 'potentially life-changing injuries' after being hit by car

A woman has been left with "potentially life-changing" injuries after she was hit by a car in Knightsbridge.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene of the crash in Brompton Road, by Brompton Square, shortly before 5pm on Monday.

Pictures posted on social media show a number of emergency services vehicles at the scene while paramedics treat the female pedestrian.

The woman, aged 60, was rushed to hospital with head and leg injuries.

Her injuries are currently deemed possibly life-changing, police said.

A man, who was driving the car, was arrested at the scene in connection with driving-related offences.

He is currently in custody at a west London police station.
