POLICE are still looking for a key witness into a "serious incident" in Paisley.

Officers have re-released images of a man they believe might be able to assist them with an ongoing investigation into an incident that occurred in September 2019.

The incident took place on Argyle Street on Sunday, September 15, 2019, around 9.10pm.

No further details on the nature of the incident were provided.

The images were captured by CCTV inside a shop in the Renfrewshire town.

Detective Inspector Ruth Simpson of Police Scotland, said: “We believe that the man in the images may be able to assist us with our investigation and I would urge him to come forward.

"This was a serious incident and we are re-issuing an appeal for any information in relation to the man in the images.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 2952 of September 15, 2019.

"Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
