Knuckle duster and cannabis seized from two people outside McDonalds

A knuckle duster and some cannabis were seized from two people outside McDonalds.

On Tuesday night, police in Hyndburn were carrying out a road safety operation on Henry Street in Church where they issued a ticket to one driver for having no MOT.

Officers also targeted anti-social behaviour where two people were stopped and searched outside McDonalds.

Police found a knuckle duster and some cannabis, which they seized and the individuals responsible will be dealt with in due course.

A spokesperson for Hyndburn police said on Tuesday night: "This evening we have been carrying out a road safety operation on Henry Street in Church and were joined by our new student officers.

"We have issued a ticket to one driver for having no MOT.

"We have also targeted anti social behaviour where two individuals were stopped and searched outside McDonalds.

"A knuckle duster and some cannabis have been seized and the individuals responsible are being dealt with accordingly.

"Your neighbourhood officers are dedicated to tackling the issues which matter most to you, such as traffic issues, local crime and antisocial behaviour."
