Koala Scrambles Up Tree Following Health Check at Australian Sanctuary

A koala was excited to get back to her usual surroundings after a health check at an Australian wildlife sanctuary earlier this month.

Footage by Port Stephens Koalas shared on May 4 shows the koala being released back into her home, and quickly climbing up a tree.

Based in a region of New South Wales, north of Sydney, Port Stephens Koalas provides a wildlife shelter for marsupials in need.

“Goodbye kisses from the beautiful Midnight Rose after she was given a routine health check by our amazing volunteers Herna and Di! How beautiful is her home?! We just love our sanctuary,” a Facebook post from the organization reads.
