Koala Sprints Away From Swooping Magpies in Adelaide

While being terrorised by two swooping magpies an Adelaide koala made a brave escape, quickly clambering down a tree and dashing for a home.

Adelaide resident Joanne Keough was on a walk in Morphett Vale when she saw the koala hanging on the lower trunk being harassed by the birds.

Clearly not welcome in the tree, the koala made a run for it while dodging the two birds’ swooping.

“As I started filming it the Koala climbed down the tree and made a run for it . The birds followed and kept swooping it but I was so happy to see that the little fella made it to another tree and was able to climb up to safety,” Keough told Storyful. Credit: Joanne Keough via Storyful
