Three koalas have been released back into the wild in the Adelaide suburb of Cherry Gardens, after they were rescued from a bushfire in the area in late January.
Burnadette, Bundy, and Beau were spotted by a firefighter, Southern Koala Rescue told Storyful. The firefighter “ensured the ground around the tree was not hot and marked the tree and the location for Southern Koala Rescue to find them and take them into care,” the rescue said. “The female had singed fur and burns to her face and the two males had minor burns and singed fur.”
The koalas were released near the same tree.
