Kourtney Kardashian reveals dress, Virgin Mary train in new wedding photos: 'Happily ever after'

Given that her May 22 Italian nuptials were held at the L'Ulivetta estate owned by fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, it's fitting that Kourtney Kardashian tapped the duo to design her wedding dress for what marks her third trip down the aisle with rocker Travis Barker. (The pair eloped, unofficially, in Las Vegas last month, then had a legal courthouse ceremony in Santa Barbara, Calif., last week.)

In new photos shared by both Kardashian, 43, and her new husband, 46, the reality star is seen wearing a minidress featuring a cream corset-style top over a white lace skirt. The bride wore her long dark hair in a classic up-do accented with a headdress, from which trailed a lengthy train embroidered with flowers and a large image of the Virgin Mary. Cream pumps and sheer opera-length gloves completed the look.

"Happily ever after," the Poosh founder captioned a series of wedding photos, in which new husband Barker wears a classic double-breasted tuxedo from Dolce & Gabbana.

According to a post from Dolce & Gabbana, Kardashian's Alta Moda dress was a "one-of-a-kind" white silk lace and satin gown — and includes a nod to one of Barker's tattoos.

"For the gown, #DomenicoDolce and #StefanoGabbana took inspiration from the iconic figures of the Italian lingerie and la dolce vita," the fashion house shared. "The corset enhances the silhouette thanks to a design rich in exquisite cuts and realized following expert tailoring techniques that emphasize femininity. Kourtney wears a wide, long tulle veil with floral lace appliqués inspired by the flowers of the Portofino gardens. The veil has been hand-embroidered with a large depiction of the Virgin Mary and the words 'family loyalty respect.' The embroidery, done with the 'cross stitch' technique, recalls her husband Travis's tattoo and is a symbol of alliance, respect and common devotion. The look is completed by tulle gloves and white lace pumps."

In addition to hosting the couple's wedding in Portofino, Italy, the Italian fashion house took over dressing the wedding party — including Kardashian's famous sisters — throughout the weekend's festivities. All five Kardashian sisters wore pieces from the Dolce & Gabbana archive upon their arrival in Portofino on Friday, with Kourtney standing out in a sheer red dress worn over a matching corset and underwear set.

On Saturday, the bride stepped out in Dolce & Gabbana's black corseted minidress featuring yet another Virgin Mary design. Paired with a short black veil trimmed in blue lace, the look from the label's Spring/Summer 1998 collection echoed the white minidress, also by D&G, Kardashian wore to her Santa Barbara ceremony the previous week.

Other members of the wedding party wore Dolce & Gabbana for the Sunday service, in which guests arrived via speedboats featuring the label's patterned cushions and towels. Barker's daughter, Alabama, and stepdaughter, Atiana De La Hoya, appeared to be wearing D&G designs, while sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner opted for similar metallic dresses with floral detailing. Khloé Kardashian, meanwhile, wore a black dress paired with a signature D&G embellished headpiece.

Though Dolce & Gabbana has been hit with accusations of racism in recent years, Kardashian isn't the only high-profile bride who's trusted the Italian fashion house with an extensive wedding wardrobe. Last year, Lady Kitty Spencer, the niece of Princess Diana, wore multiple custom designs by the label for her summer wedding.
