Yahoo News Kris Jenner Reveals O.J. Simpson Repeatedly Tried To Call Her After Nicole Brown Simpson’s Murder
As the US drama ‘American Crime Story: The People vs O.J. Simpson’ makes abundantly clear – The Jenners and the Simpsons were longtime family friends.
Kris Jenner had been close to Nicole Simpson before she was brutally murdered in 1994 and Robert Kardashian (Kris’ ex-husband) stood beside O.J. as his legal representative when he was accused of the murder.
22 years later, the Kardashian matriarch opened up about the trial and her relationship with O.J. during Tuesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres show.

The 60-year-old reality star admitted that she was left devastated by the incident, feeling that she had failed Nicole as a friend because she had missed the warning signs.
“I didn’t know there was abuse until we [Nicole’s friends] saw the whole thing unfold like everyone else and heard the 911 tapes,” she told Ellen. “Me and some of her other close friends all were really surprised and shocked by it because we felt like we really failed her as a friend.”
Heartbreakingly, the two ladies had arranged to have lunch the day after her friend was murdered, Kris revealed how Nicole had told her that she had something important to share.
“She said she wanted to show me some things and talk about what was in her safe. And so now, unfortunately, it all makes sense that that’s what, probably, she wanted to reveal to me that next day, which broke my heart because I’ll always feel horrible that I didn’t pay enough attention.”

The talk show host then probed about whether O.J. had ever tried to reach out to her after the murder. Jenner responded: “Right after, yeah, he called me a few times. And, you know, wanted to talk and explain how he felt.”
The situation was undoubtedly difficult for Kris and her family as they previously shared a close relationship with the athlete.
“I had known O.J. since I was 17 years old – when I met Robert I met O.J.,” she said. “So that was a very long time ago. He was like a big brother to me.”

In 1995, Simpson was acquitted of murdering Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman following a criminal trial.
