You would think your mother being the star of the most successful animated film of all time would be a dream for most little girls, but Frozen’s Kristen Bell has revealed her stint as Anna in the film has earned her “no cool points” from her two daughters.

Bell, who reprised her role for the highly-anticipated Frozen 2, has spoken to The Sun about how daughters Lincoln, six and Delta, four, react to her bringing her work home.

She said: “They both hate it when I sing and when I come home to share tidbits from the set.

“They are not really interested . . . for now.”

She added: “In my desperation to show my kids I am cool I told them everything about the plot two years ago. Then it occurred to me I am in breach of my contract.”

Bell did admit her girls, whose father is actor Dax Shepard, did find the fact she is in the movie “a tiny bit cool” and they “digest it in their own way”.

Family is hugely important to the star, who is also known for starring in TV shows such as Veronica Mars and The Good Place, and movies Bad Moms and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Speaking on US TV recently, she said: “I always think, ‘If I’m on my deathbed, what am I gonna be thinking about?’

“And it won’t be some random movie I participated in, or some TV show. It will be my family.

“We have a calendar that looks comical. It sits in the island in our kitchen and gets adjusted all the time but it works.

“We’ve had this really lucky pattern where I’m crazy busy and Dax is not, and then it switches.

“So we’ve been the beneficiary of just good luck.”
