At least 41 people were killed when a fire broke out at a church in the Giza neighborhood of Imbaba on August 14, the Coptic Orthodox Church reported citing health officials.The fire broke out at the Abu Sefein church around 9 am local time, the country’s interior ministry reported. The cause of the fire was an electrical fault in an air conditioner in the building, the ministry said. Scotland is to become the first country in the world to introduce a law to protect the right to free period products. On Monday, when the Period Products Act comes into force, councils and education providers in Scotland will be legally required to ensure free sanitary products are available to anyone who needs them. The legislation, which was originally proposed by Labour MSP Monica Lennon, was unanimously approved by the Scottish Parliament back in 2020.

This could be used for washing and domestic purposes, then reused as “grey water” to flush lavatories, wash cars and water gardens. Mains water would be reserved for drinking, cooking and back-up.
