Kyle Richards Says She Has 'Men and Women Messaging Me Now' as Future with Mauricio Umansky Remains Uncertain
The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star confessed it was still "really hard" to wrap her head around dating after announcing her separation eight months ago
Kyle Richards isn't quite ready to step into the dating field — though she's gotten her fair share of offers!
On Wednesday's episode of Sirius XM's Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 55, revealed she had people coming out of the woodwork and into her social media DMs since announcing her separation from her husband Mauricio Umansky.
When asked about the influx of propositions she's gotten in her inbox, Richards shared she had "random people" that consisted of both "men and women messaging me now" online.
"I mean, it's just so funny, but it didn't used to be like that," she said before prefacing that she hasn't taken any of her potential suitors seriously.
Though she and Umanksy, 53, are currently separated, the Bravolebrity confessed that she hadn't had the courage to date new people.
"It's really hard to wrap my head around that, but of course I thought about that and my friends make all kinds of jokes and stuff, you know," she explained. "I mean that day will come regardless because we are separated and we're allowed to do what we want to do right now. That's the way it is."
In July 2023, a source told PEOPLE that the couple had been "separated for a while now" but remained "amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family."
Soon after the news of their separation went public, Richards and Umansky denied rumors they were getting divorced, but confessed to having a "rough year" shared to Instagram.
The pair first met in 1994 and married in January 1996. They share daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 24, and Portia, 16, as well as Richards' eldest daughter Farrah Brittany, 35, (née Aldjufrie) from her first marriage to ex Guraish Aldjufrie.
During the final part of the RHOBH season 13 reunion, Richards revealed that problems in their marriage compounded over time and the separation she thought would be "temporary" had evolved.
"With any marriage, there's issues that you have and they come up," she said, explaining how their busy schedules with work and raising their children had pushed their problems aside rather than solve them. "Some of the issues never went away and they were never really like worked on."
"I care about my family first and I mean I tried, I really did try," she continued through tears. "And so then when I couldn't, the kind of things I had been — don't want to say put up with, but you know, just became more apparent to me I guess."
"I guess I couldn't do that anymore. I finally decided a breaking point but I really thought [our marriage] would come back," Richards added. "I thought, 'Okay this is just a temporary thing' and it didn't."

After reunion host Andy Cohen asked about their current living situation, Richards revealed that she and Umansky were still in the same house though they've had discussions about him moving out and finding a new place to call home. She went on to credit their daughters for being "so strong and supportive" throughout the process before admitting that it was still "hard for us to say" the word "divorce."
"But, I mean if he's looking for a place to move out and I haven't really seen progress," she noted. "We get along well but like friends."
