Kylian Mbappe has revealed his admiration for Jurgen Klopp, hailing the Liverpool boss for transforming his side into a "machine" this season.

Klopp has taken the Merseyside outfit to new heights with Champions League glory last season and the Club World Cup in December, and the former Borussia Dortmund coach is recognised as one of the best coaches in world football.

But the German is set to lead the Reds into new territory after an astonishing Premier League campaign, opening up a 25-point gap at the summit of the Premier League and losing just once in 45 games before the coronavirus pandemic forced the season to be temporarily suspended.

PSG star Mbappe has previously been linked with a big-money transfer to Anfield after Klopp conceded "every club" would jump at the chance to sign the 21-year-old.

And the striker has done nothing to hide his admiration for the club in return, lauding the Reds' achievements Klopp this season.

“This season, Liverpool have been a machine in the Premier League," the World Cup winner told The Mirror.

“They have made winning look easy but the truth is that it is never easy. Performances like they have been having don’t just happen.

“To be as ruthless as they have been would come from lots of hard work in training and from having a very good manager.”
