Kylian Mbappe could become king at working under Jurgen Klopp if he joins Liverpool this summer, says former France defender Willy Sagnol.

The 21-year-old has been tipped to join the Reds with his contract at PSG only having two more years to run before it expires.

Mbappe, who won the World Cup in 2018 with France, has been in sensational form in Ligue 1 with 18 goals in 21 appearances.

Sagnol believes that Mbappe would have to improve his defensive work if he moved to Anfield but would benefit greatly from being under Klopp's guidance.

"This club [Liverpool] has a big advantage, as with Jurgen Klopp you have a coach with whom every player in the world would like to work," the former Bayern Munich and Monaco man told Bild.

"Kylian Mbappe would have to adjust under him as he demands a lot of defensive work from his strikers, which Mbappe is not good at yet.

"But he can learn that, especially from a guy like Klopp.

"No question, Mbappe could become a king with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool."
