Think what you like about Kylie Jenner, you can’t deny she’s proved her business prowess.

In fact, that’s an understatement: the 20-year-old is set to become the youngest self-made billionaire in the world.

According to Forbes, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan has built a $900 million (that’s roughly £678.5 million) fortune in just three years alone.

The prestigious business magazine has chosen Jenner as the face of their ‘American Women Billionaires’ cover for their August issue, which depicts Jenner in a businesslike in a black blazer and slicked back hair.

wow. i can’t believe I’m posting my very own @forbes cover. thank you for this article and the recognition. I’m so blessed to do what i love everyday. i couldn’t have dreamt this up! #KylieCosmetics

A post shared by Kylie (@kyliejenner) on Jul 11, 2018 at 7:00am PDTJenner’s fortune comes from her mega cosmetics business Kylie Cosmetics, which launched two years ago with a £23.50 ‘Lip Kit’ consisting of a matching set of lipstick and lip liner.

Since, she’s sold over £475 million worth of makeup, and an estimated £249 million in 2017 alone.

Women far and wide were looking to emulate her full-lip look – one which she admitted to being down to fillers, which ironically, she recently revealed to have had removed – on Instagram with pouty selfies.

Forbes valued Jenner’s company at nearly £604 million and note that she owns 100% of it.

This is all before the various endorsements Kylie’s been involved in, from deals with Puma, PacSun, Topshop, Adidas and more.

All considered, this result doesn’t only make her the youngest person in the magazine’s annual ranking of America’s Richest Self-Made Women, it’s close to making her the youngest self-made billionaire full stop.

Male or female.

That’s overtaking Mark Zuckerberg, who became a billionaire at age 23, and Snapchat’s Evan Spiegel who is also thought to have become a billionaire in his early 20s.

Jenner tells the magazine that a large part of her business is social media: “Social media is an amazing platform,” Jenner says. “I have such easy access to my fans and my customers.”

This means little to no money goes into marketing, instead, she’ll film a short video of her ‘swatches’ and post it to her 110 million Instagram followers.

Now is that good business or what?

Aside from Kylie Jenner, other women who made Forbes Richest Females list include Diane Hendricks, (who came in at number one) a Wisconsin billionaire who owns ABC Supply, a wholesale roofing and windows distributer, co-founder of Little Caesars’ Marian Ilitch and founder of Epic Software Judy Faulkner.
