Kylie Jenner shows off her maternal side with new snaps of Stormi after being slammed for partying at Coachella

Make-up mogul and reality star Kylie Jenner has shown her maternal side in new Instagram posts featuring her daughter Stormi.

Pictured from the legs down, the mother-daughter duo are dressed in matching white outfits in the first photo, with the exception of Kylie’s red Chanel pool sliders.

The 20-year-old mother, who has come under fire for attending Coachella over the weekend, simply captioned the photo “bff”.

An hour later, Kylie shared a second photo of her cradling Stormi in her lap, referring to the three-month-old as her “angel baby”.

This flurry of social media activity follows this week’s public criticism of Kylie’s parenting style, or lack thereof.

The new mum sat courtside at the NBA playoffs on Wednesday night, days after she had been slammed by fans for partying at Coachella.

“Kylie Jenner’s at Coachella like she doesn’t have a newborn at home,” one critic wrote. Another added, “I wouldn’t even consider her a mom.”

Celebrity gossip columnist, Perez Hilton, added his voice to the debate and criticised the star for not being by her sister Khloe’s side following the birth of her daughter. He tweeted to his 113,000 followers, “Kylie Jenner didn’t even go visit Khloe. Kylie’s at #Coachella too! Party hard girls!!”

Others have been quick to rally around the star, saying “just cause we are moms doesn’t mean we shouldn’t get a break to go have fun” and “are moms not allowed to do fun stuff?! She stayed private her entire pregnancy, let her go out and have with her man.”

In a nod to noughties movie Mean Girls, Kylie has previously said that she is “not a regular mom” but a “cool mom” in an Instagram post where she poses in a fluorescent pink wig.

The first-time mother kept an unusually low profile for her entire pregnancy, only confirming that she was expecting with Travis Scott after the birth of her daughter in February 2018.
