Kym Marsh Really Isn’t Into The Idea Of Piers Morgan As Her Corrie Love Interest

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has spoken out about Piers Morgan’s suggestion that he’d be a good love interest for her character Michelle Connor.

On Wednesday’s Good Morning Britain, Piers ‘joked’ that he’d fight Steve McDonald - and then sneak off for a bit of hanky-panky with Michelle.

Luckily, Kym found the whole idea as gross as we did.

She told The Express: “He’s been a little bit predatory, he’s stalking me a little bit.

“Stranger things have happened, but no I’d love him to come to Corrie - but not as my love interest.”

We think Michelle has got more than her fair share of love interests at the moment anyway, with Steve and her liaison with old flame Will which is about to come back to haunt her.

Besides, Kym doesn’t want Michelle and Steve to split for good. She recently told the Daily Star: “I hope nothing happens, I hope the rockiness is not permanent because we love working together.

“We’ve been together for the last ten years on and off so it’ll be a shame to split permanently.”

But Piers might get just his wish granted as he’s apparently been approached by Corrie bosses for a cameo appearance.

He said: “I’ve actually just had an offer from Coronation Street to do a cameo. They’re asking what kind of role I’d like; do I want a fight in the Rovers?”

We think Gail would probably be a better match for you, Piers.
