Following the conclusion of this year's Kynren performances, the expansive County Durham site is preparing for another major event.

The Flatts Farm in Bishop Auckland, home to the summer spectacle of Kynren, is set to host a Pyromusical on November 2, ahead of Bonfire Night. Touted as the North East's most spectacular fireworks display, the night sky will be illuminated with a choreographed show featuring music from the last five decades over its seven-and-a-half-acre stage.

This year marks the sixth annual Pyromusical, with a 25-minute performance designed by the same pyrotechnics team responsible for Kynren's grand finale. The display will unfold before an 8,000-seater tribune auditorium, against the stunning backdrop of Auckland Castle.

Anna Warnecke, Kynren's chief executive officer, said: "After previous sell out years, we're expecting Pyromusical 2024 to be another dazzling and unforgettable event, showcasing the talent and creativity here in Bishop Auckland. We invite audiences, new and returning, to soak up the autumnal spirit, get wrapped up in coats and layers and join us for a memorable evening with family and friends."

The venue is open-air, so attendees are always advised to dress warmly. Fire pits will be scattered around the park for people to warm up by and food will be available for purchase before the show, including hotdogs and popcorn, as well as mulled wine and hot chocolate, reports Chronicle Live.

Gates will open at 4.15pm on the day of the event and ticket-holders are recommended to arrive before 6.15pm in preparation for the performance starting at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £12 for adults; £6 for under-18s and are complimentary for children aged three and under when seated on an adult's lap.

A shuttle bus service from Bishop Auckland bus station is also provided at a cost of £3 per person. To book tickets click here or call 01388 436 033.
