The shadow transport secretary has praised the British public after P&O Ferries saw a huge drop in passenger numbers following its illegal sacking of 800 staff members earlier this year. Louise Haigh said: "The public here in Britain have a really strong sense of fair play and they don't want to let P&O Ferries get away with this." ITV News found the number of tourist vehicles using the company in the week ending 22 May dropped by a whopping 92 per cent compared to the same week in 2018.
