EastEnders star Lacey Turner has explained how she was able to make a brief comeback to the BBC soap after giving birth.
As it turns out, Lacey was able able to nip back to the set of EastEnders shortly after Trilby's arrival because she had scenes left to film leading up to Stacey's temporary exit.
"I rang them and I said, 'Don't panic, I'll come in. I'll just do a couple of mornings and then I'll be done'," she explained on Loose Women. "Otherwise I've sort of got to wait a month and then I forget what I've done and what I haven't done and what Stacey's meant to be doing.
"So I thought I'll just go in and I'll do it and it'll be done. And it was lovely, actually."
While the Loose Women presenters were stunned to hear she'd gone back to work so quickly, Lacey explained that Trilby's birth was quite stress-free.
"Do you know what? I had a really quick birth, so I didn't really get a chance to sweat or you know, other than losing that night's sleep, I didn't really have a really tough time," she recalled.
"I didn't have much to recover from. And because I didn't have him the night that I'd given birth to him, I had a whole night's sleep so I actually felt really good."
Lacey's EastEnders character Stacey Slater isn't having quite as good of a time these days, since she's facing potential prison time after being stitched up for Ruby's fall at the club.
EastEnders airs Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One.
