We couldn’t be happier that the wonderful Lacey Turner walked away with THREE gongs from last night’s British Soap Awards.

Lacey, better known as her alter-ego Stacey FOWLER (it’s going to take a while to get used to that) in EastEnders won the Best Actress accolade, Best Female Dramatic Performance and Best Storyline.
Lacey wowed viewers with her portrayal of post-partum psychosis earlier this year, with many fans calling her performances as troubled Stacey ‘oscar-worthy.’

Lacey, who looked stunning in a floor-length yellow gown, admitted on the red carpet that she was very, very nervous and isn’t very good at speeches.
It turned out she actually isn’t too bad at them though as she took the opportunity to thank out-going EastEnders producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins for letting her return.

She also thanked all the PPP and mental health charities who helped her portray the sensitive storyline in a realistic manner.
And the humble actress paid tribute to James Bye - on-screen husband Martin Fowler - who she dubbed her partner in crime.
Viewers saw bi-polar Stacey struggle with her mental health after the birth of baby Arthur.
Among her delusions, she thought her baby was the son of God and that the devil was trying to take him away from her.
The storyline has won huge praise for raising awareness of post-natal mental health conditions.
