Ulster and Division One champions Armagh have picked up eight nominations for the 2024 TG4 All-Star awards.

All-Ireland champion Kerry, who defeated the Orchard County in the semi-final, lead the way with 15 players - one third of the total nominations of 45.

The Kingdom won their 12th senior All-Ireland title with a commanding 3-14 to 0-11 win over Galway in the decider in August at Croke Park.

Armagh, who recently appointed Joe Feeney and Darnell Parkinson as their new management team after the departure of Greg McGonigle, were last awarded an All-Star in 2022 for Aimee Mackin.

Goalkeeper Anna Carr, defenders Clodagh McCambridge, Grace Ferguson, Cait Towe and Lauren McConville, midfielder Caroline O’Hanlon and forwards Aoife McCoy and Blaithín Mackin have all been shortlisted.

McCambridge's brother Barry is also shortlised for an All-Star in the men's equivalent and is also one of three contenders for the Footballer of the Year award.

Runners-up Galway have nine players nominated, Dublin have five players nominated, Cork have four, while players from Meath, Kildare, Tipperary and Waterford have also been included in the list compiled by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association’s All-Star committee.

The 2024 TG4 All-Star team will be announced at a gala banquet at The Bonnington Dublin Hotel on Saturday, November 16.
