Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga? Irina Shayk 'split' leaves fans rooting for co-stars to 'get together'

Lady Gaga fans are crossing their fingers that the singer will embark on a romance with her A Star is Born co-star Bradley Cooper after he reportedly split from Irina Shayk.

According to PEOPLE, the couple are thought to have split after four years together and are working on how to share custody of their daughter Lea De Seine, who was born in 2017.

Though Cooper and Shayk are yet to confirm the reports, Gaga’s fans rushed to share their hopes that she and the actor-director will “get together now that he’s single,” after their intense performance of Shallow sparked speculation at the Academy Awards in February.

A representative for the singer confirmed that she had called time on her engagement to talent agent Christian Carino shortly before the Oscars ceremony.

“I guarantee in about a week or two, we’re gonna hear some news about Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper being together,” one fan speculated, and another wrote: “Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are both single now hmmm.”

A third fan suggested that the pair “both being single at the same time now” could be “cosmic intervention,” while the pair’s A Star is Born duet also cropped up in a handful of memes.

“Bradley Cooper broke up with his GF. Lady Gaga will be waiting in the Shaaaaa lllloooows,” one tweet read, with another adding: “If Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper don’t get together by the end of this year I’m never listening to shallow ever again.”

One fan even suggested that the pair could “sing Shallow at their wedding.”

The savage memes took another musical turn as some fans shared a photo of Cooper, Shayk and Gaga at the Golden Globes earlier this year superimposed onto the artwork for Ariana Grande’s track Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored.

Following the co-stars’ performance at the Oscars, Gaga was forced to dispel romance rumours in an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“First of all, social media quite frankly is the toilet of the Internet and what it has done to pop culture is abysmal,” she told the late night host.

“And people saw love, and guess what, that’s what we wanted you to see. This is a love song, the movie is a love story.”
