Lady Gaga shuts down pregnancy rumours by announcing sixth album

Lady Gaga has shut down rumours that she is pregnant by announcing that she is working on a sixth album.

The Oscar-winning artist and actor laughed off the speculation by posting a jokey Tweet on Tuesday.

“Rumours I’m pregnant? Yeah, I’m pregnant with #LG6 [Lady Gaga 6],” she wrote.

The singer’s fans were sent into meltdown by the announcement, with many taking to Twitter to share their excitement for her new album.

Gaga’s last album, ‘Joanne‘, was released in 2016 and received positive reviews. Since then, the singer has made a name for herself in Hollywood by starring alongside Bradley Cooper in A Star is Born, for which she won Best Original Song at the Oscars.

However, Gaga has also had to field rumours of a romance between her and Cooper, particularly after their intimate performance of ‘Shallow‘ at the Oscars.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Gaga rolled her eyes when she was asked about the rumours and said: “Social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet, and what it has done to pop culture is just abysmal.”

Their performance at the Oscars led many to believe that the two of them were in love, but Gaga said that they were acting and that was the entire point. “People saw love, and guess what, that’s what we wanted you to see! This is a love song, ‘Shallow’, the movie, A Star Is Born, is a love story!

“From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time. When you’re singing love songs, that’s how you want people to feel.”

She finished by saying: “I’m an artist, and I guess we did a good job. Fooled Ya!”
