Has Lady Gaga split from fiancé Christian Carino?

Lady Gaga has reportedly called off her engagement to Christian Carino, with the pair said to have split last week.

A source told E! that Carino is “desperately trying to get back together” with the singer.

Speculation was rife after Gaga attended the Grammy Awards without her fiancé last Sunday, and was pictured without her engagement ring.

Gaga also failed to mention Carino when she won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for hit song Shallow from A Star is Born, for which she has been nominated for a Best Actress Oscar.

But a separate source told E! the pair are very much still together and explained the reason behind her decision to ditch her engagement ring.

“She just wasn’t wearing her ring due to performing,” they said. “They have put all their wedding plans on hold until after Gaga’s busy season, but still plan to get married this year.”

Gaga announced her engagement in a heartfelt speech at Elle’s 25th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration in October.

“Thank you to all the loved ones in my life,” she said. “[Manager] Bobby [Campbell], I love you. Everyone at table five.

“My fiancé, Christian. All the loved ones in my life who takes care of me every day.”

The pair are believed to have started dating in February 2017 after they were supposedly spotted getting cosy at a Kings of Leon concert, according to PEOPLE.

Reports of a split came hours after Gaga was left red-faced over a new tattoo, which she got after “too many tequilas”.

The singer showed off a musical stave on her arm, telling fans she had to have it redone after the original only featured four lines instead of five.

She also had a rose tattooed on her spine as a tribute to La Vie en Rose which her character sings in A Star is Born.
