Lady Gaga Just Confirmed Her New Single, “Stupid Love,” Is Coming Out Friday
Lady Gaga fans were convinced she would release a single called “Stupid Love."
Little Monsters got all this information from…a pumpkin picture, LOL.
Turns out, they were absolutely right!
Update, February 25, 2020:
Great detective work, Little Monsters—y’all seriously deserve a major pat on the back. After fans speculated back in August that “Stupid Love” would be Gaga's upcoming single based on an unreleased version of it that circulated the web—which was taken down on Twitter because of copyright that actually verified that song’s title—we finally have the confirmation we have desperately craved!
Today, Gaga announced that “Stupid Love” actually is her brand-new single, which is exciting news regardless of if we all knew about it for, like, half a year!

The single will drop this Friday (hopefully, with a video if we are lucky), so you know what that means: LG6 IS COMING!
Original Story, October 31, 2019:
Hello there, and happy freakin’ Halloween! Sure, today might be the scariest day of the year, but when you’re one of Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters, it isn’t just Halloween—it’s the 1,106th restless day since Gaga released her last studio album, Joanne. Or alternatively, 392 days since the A Star Is Born soundtrack dropped. Either way, it’s been several lifetimes, so the monsters are ravenous for new music.
Little Monsters are now believing that a major clue to Gaga’s new music is hidden in a picture of a pumpkin. Yes—really! On Tuesday, Gaga posted a picture to her Twitter and Instagram account of a pumpkin-carving session that went wrong—well, for Gaga at least. Instead of carving the pumpkin, Gaga wrote “f*ck this” on her pumpkin and stuck a knife in it like a true diva. But the real thing that got Gaga fans worked up wasn’t her cheeky pumpkin, it was her iPod in the background.

Fans zoomed in on Gaga’s iPod and noticed that an unreleased song titled “Stupid Love” was playing. And while this seems like a reach, it totally isn’t! Back in August, a stan posted a snippet of one of Gaga’s unreleased tracks and, of course, it was taken down…but Twitter allegedly removed it for copyright and recognized the snippet as “Stupid Love,” by Lady Gaga.
I've just had a copyright notice on a tweet I posted a few days ago. The track has been removed as it infringes on an artists copyright. It keeps referencing 'Stupid Love' by Lady Gaga from universal music studios. Is this a track from #lg6 pic.twitter.com/ODIuZzG1Tr

After a music hiatus this long, I can’t even blame Gaga’s fans for resorting to such crafty detective work to crack this case. Next step: Actually getting the song!!!
