Lake-Effect Snow Falls on Upstate New York
Snow fell over Buffalo, New York, as a winter storm threatened up to 4 feet of accumulation by the end of the weekend, the National Weather Service (NWS) said on Thursday, November 17.
Video filmed by Sandy Schoelles shows snow fall in Allegany, New York – about 70 miles south of Buffalo. “I guess winter has officially arrived,” the caption accompanying the video said.
The NWS predicted that intense bands of lake-effect snow will become “oriented” across Buffalo and Watertown on Thursday evening through to Friday. Credit: Sandy Schoelles via Storyful
