Lake-Effect Snow Falls on Binghamton, New York

The National Weather Service in the Binghamton area of New York reported the season’s first measurable snowfall on Wednesday morning, November 3.

Video shared on Twitter shows a thin layer of snow covering vehicles parked at the service’s Johnson City site as snow showers passed through the area.

According to the forecast, the lake-effect snow showers would turn to rain as the day went on. The NWS said that the area’s first measurable snow normally comes around Halloween, making this year’s “a touch later than usual.” Credit: NWS Binghamton via Storyful
