Lakers Fans Chant 'Kobe' Outside Staples Center as Game Postponed

Lakers fans gathered outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 27 to pay tribute to Kobe Bryant after the NBA postponed the Lakers-Clippers game scheduled for the following evening.

Bryant, 41, died along with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, and seven other people in a helicopter crash in Calabasas on January 26.

The decision to postpone the game “was made out of respect for the Lakers organization, which is deeply grieving the tragic loss of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven other people in a helicopter crash on Sunday,” the league said in a statement.

Heartbroken fans flocked to the Staples Center on Monday night.
