A cheeky annual lamb ad released on January 11 has this year poked fun at Australia’s COVID-19 border restrictions.
Meat & Livestock Australia’s (MLA) latest release, “Make Lamb, Not Walls”, is set in 2031 where a “once united nation” has been divided by “the Great State Walls as tensions continue to escalate.”
In the ad, the scent of lamb wafting through the crack of a concrete wall is enough to cause a large group of people – from security guards to football players and even Sydneysiders – to race forward and smash down the walls to reunite over a BBQ.
“As a brand that celebrates unity and the power of coming together, this year in the ad, we wanted to remind Australians that we are always stronger together,” said MLA domestic market manager Graeme Yardy, according to local media. Credit: Meat & Livestock Australia via Storyful
