Woman taken to hospital following Lambeth Bridge police incident as roads reopen

Lambeth Bridge has reopened after it was closed in both directions on Thursday evening by police concerned for a woman’s welfare.

The Met Police was called to the scene around 3.20pm, following concerns for a woman on the bridge.

Photos showed at least four ambulance vehicles parked by the bridge, along with police.

Scotland Yard confirmed around 5.40pm that a woman had been taken to hospital, and the roads had reopened.
